Fun With Learning app: privacy policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026 · Applies to the Fun With Learning for Kids app on iPhone, iPad and Android
The short version
- The app is made for children, and we collect as little as we can.
- No ads. No in-app purchases. No third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
- No logins, no email addresses, no chat, no location, and no access to the camera, microphone, photos or contacts.
- A grown-up can delete a child's profile at any time, in the app or by emailing us. See Delete a profile.
What the app collects
- Profile: the display name the child types (we suggest a first name or nickname, not a full name), the outfit chosen for their character, and their score and coins. This is how a child's progress is kept when the app is closed and reopened.
- A random app ID: a code the app makes up when it is first installed, used to link profiles to that installation. It is not a hardware or advertising identifier, and it is stored in the device's secure storage.
- Crash reports: if the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a technical report so we can fix it. Reports contain the error, the device's operating system and version, and the app's version. They contain no names, no profile details and no device identifiers.
Who processes it
- Our servers store profiles (name, outfit, score) and the random app ID.
- Sentry and elmah.io receive crash reports, as our service providers.
- Vimeo streams the videos in the app. Like any website that delivers video, Vimeo receives the device's IP address and basic connection details to send the video. We do not send Vimeo any profile information.
We do not sell or rent any information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.
Sharing
The app's Share button sits behind a grown-up check, so a child can't use it alone.
How long we keep it
A profile is kept until it is deleted in the app or at your request. Crash reports are deleted automatically by our crash-reporting providers after their standard retention period.
Parents' rights
Parents and guardians can ask to review or delete the information held for their child, or ask us to stop collecting it. Delete a profile in the app (My Profile, then Delete, then the grown-up check), or email us at admin@projectthunder.com and we will act on it within 30 days. Deleting the profile and the app stops all further collection.
Security
All data the app sends travels over encrypted HTTPS connections.
